GLADES COUNTY — Two Moore Haven residents, Susan Spencer Parker (62) and David Ward (66), were fatally injured in an auto accident on Saturday, May 4, at approximately 11 a.m.
According to a press release from Florida Highway Patrol, Eduardo Blanco Irons, 65, of Cypress Texas, was traveling west on U.S. 27 in a 2012 Freightliner. Ms. Parker was traveling south in a 2001 Saturn on 10th Street with passenger, David Ward. Mr. Irons failed to stop at a steady red traffic signal and collided with Ms. Parker’s vehicle. Ms. Parker’s Saturn was pushed to the median and came to a final rest facing southwest. Mr. Iron’s vehicle came to a final rest on the north shoulder of U.S. 27.
Both Ms. Parker and her passenger Mr. Ward suffered fatal injuries.
