BUCKHEAD RIDGE — A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) press release state at approximately 11:35 a.m. on Sept. 14 a SUV operated by an 85-year-old Okeechobee man was traveling southeast on Eighth Street in Buckhead Ridge.
The driver of the SUV placed the vehicle in reverse gear. The vehicle began traveling backward in a northeasterly direction across both lanes of Eighth Street resulting with the left rear of the SUV colliding with a metal fence on the grassy shoulder.
