Aleah Baron places third in national championship

LABELLE- LaBelle’s Aleah Baron finished third in the nation during 2024 USA Weightlifting National Championships Week held in Pittsburgh June 15-23.

At the national championship Baron matched her personal record with a 70 kg in snatch. And in the clean and jerk she lifted 100 kg, for a personal record of 170 kg total.  Baron earned a spot at nationals after ranking sixth overall at the Florida Weightlifting Federation State Championships in May.

Earning the bronze at the 2024 USA Weightlifting National Championships caps off a successful year for Baron. At LaBelle High School she placed second in both the Olympic and Traditional lift at the 2A Girls Weightlifting State Championship. Additionally she placed fourth while representing the Cowgirls in discus at the Track and Field state championship.
