CLEWISTON- The Hendry County School District was recognized as Presence Learning’s Partner of the Year at the April Hendry County School Board meeting.
Presence Learning provides virtual services for speech and language to students with disabilities in schools around the country. The Partner of the Year award recognizes the school districts that go above and beyond to create equity demonstrate dedication as they innovate new strategies to empower diverse learners.
“We serve 10,000 schools, and I’m honored to be in Hendry,” said Presence Learning’s partnership director Paige Dirscherl. “It’s positively amazing to work with people that you know care about the kids. They’re doing things for the right reasons, they’re here for the right reasons and they want what's best. That’s this group here in Hendry”
Over 360 studnts in Henry County have utilized Presence Learning’s platform this year. According to data presented to board members, Presence delivered over 5,300 sessions and 157,000 minutes of therapy to students in Hendry County.
Last year, the School District of Palm Beach County was chosen as Partner of the Year for Presence.
