CLEWISTON- The Clewiston High School track and field team performed well at the FHSAA 2A District 12 meet on April 19.
Imani Greaves earned a district championship medal in shotput and discus. Nehemiah Mullings, Kerream McKenzie, Richard Exilhomme and Xavier Hernandez earned district runners up in the boys 4x8, while Jahpheria Stephens, Shania McCain, Juli Bradford, and Estaina Miscaide secured third in the girls 4x1.
All will go on to represent the Tigers at regionals.
Multiple Tigers set personal records at the meet. Inclduign John McKire in discus, De'marion Harshaw in the 100m and 200m, Truvonta Moody in the 200m, Xavier Hernandez in the 800m, and Nehemiah Mullings and Richard Exilhomme in the 1600m.
The Tigers made an appearance in the state tournament last year, with Jerrmyll Ray, Keon Trimble, Levi Cambell, Xavier Charles, Isiaah Green and Jordan James qualifying for the top competition in Florda at the high school level.
The regional meets are scheduled for May 2 and 3, with the state championships on May 9 and 10.
