William E. “Eddie” Edwards, 90, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Eddie was born to the late Elmer and Mary (Thacker) Edwards on November 11, 1935, in Spencer, Indiana.
Eddie served in the United States Air Force. On April 16, 1955, Eddie married the love of his life, Henrietta Clemons. They were long time members of the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Brazil. Eddie worked for Conrail for 32 years. He had a passion for fishing.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Penny Wright and Linda Ann Edwards, as well as one brother, Roger Edwards.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 70 years, Henrietta Edwards, two daughters, Sandy Choat and MaryAnn Bass, two sons, Mike Edwards and William “Chip” Edwards (Tara), grandchildren: Brenda Woods (Jeff), Linda Pearson (Antonio), Heather Coley, Shawn Bussing, Jamie Edwards, Daisy Wright, Henry Wright, William Edwards, Abigail Edwards, Scott Trefz, and Nikki Trefz.
A visitation will be held Friday, January 2nd at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Avenue in Brazil from 11-1. A funeral service will begin at 1 P.M. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
