A Collier County Public Schools’ early dismissal day for the 2016-2017 school year is set for Wednesday (December 21). The early dismissal time for elementary, middle, and high school students is three hours earlier than the dismissal time on other days. The early dismissal day is for the purpose of school improvement in-service for all staff, especially as they work in designing challenging and engaging lessons for our students. The district hopes that this advance notice will allow for after-school child care arrangements to be made. To view the entire 2016-2017 school calendar, including the remaining scheduled early dismissal days, visit the district’s website (www.collierschools.com) and click on “Calendars” under the “Quick Links” heading on the left side of the home page.
