On Oct. 9 Hendry County Deputies arrested Fidencio M. Leal Collazo, 36, on suspicion of sexually abusing three girls ages 13, 11 and 8, that lived in Immokalee over a period of about six years. Leal Collazo faces two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, two counts of sexual battery of a child younger than 12 and one count of sexual activity with a child.
Leal Collazo was previously arrested in May by Hendry County Sherriff’s office deputies on three charges of lewd and lascivious molestation, he was living in LaBelle at the time. While in jail he was served with a Collier County warrant on child sex abuse.
According to court documents, the abuses took place in LaBelle and in Immokalee. After his case is resolved in Collier, Leal Collazo may face prosecution in Hendry County.
The girls said that Leal Collazo had either forced them to have sex with him or touched them inappropriately. The girls said that the abuse took place several times between 2011 and 2017.
In May, the Florida Department of Children and Families received a report that Leal Collazo locked the girl in a home in Hendry County while verbally abusing them, threatening them and their mother. The girls told investigator that their mom didn’t believe them when they told her about the abuse, the mom called them liars or said they were crazy.
Leal Collazo was booked at the Naples Jail Center. Bail was set at $3.15 million.
