Judge tells 92-year-old he will die in prison after conviction in UK’s oldest solved cold case

LONDON (AP) — A 92-year-old former railway worker has been sentenced to life in a British prison for raping and murdering a woman in 1967. The case is believed to be the U.K.’s oldest solved cold case. Ryland Headley was sentenced Tuesday in Bristol Crown Court for strangling Louisa Dunne. Headley got away with the crime for nearly 60 years until DNA linked him to the rape last year. Headley had previously been convicted of raping older women in the 1970s. Justice Derek Sweeting in Bristol Crown Court called the crime a "pitiless and cruel act by a depraved man.” Sweeting told Headley he would die in prison.

TTAM has pledged to honor existing privacy policies, allowing users to delete data or opt out of research. The acquisition is expected to close in the coming weeks.
