OKEECHOBEE — The Beta Nu Okeechobee Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG), hosted its annual New Teacher Luncheon during the week of  Aug. 4 to warmly welcome incoming educators to the Okeechobee County School District.

DKG, an international society of key women educators, held the luncheon at Osceola Middle School. The luncheon brought together DKG members, school administrators, and new teachers for an afternoon of inspiration, encouragement, and connection. The tradition, cherished by the local educational community, highlights DKG’s ongoing mission to promote professional growth, personal connections, and excellence in education.

New teachers were treated to a catered lunch, participated in drawings for school supplies and were given an opportunity to network with experienced educators who offered words of encouragement and practical tips for success in the classroom.
