FORT MYERS — Child Care of Southwest Florida (CCSWFL) recently received a $25,000 grant from the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation to help support education awards for children in Lee and Hendry counties.

As a nonprofit, Child Care of Southwest Florida partners with local charitable foundations and businesses to offer high-quality early learning programs at a reduced rate to families in Lee and Hendry counties.

“We are beyond thankful to the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation for their valuable and faithful support,” said Chris Hansen, CEO of Child Care of Southwest Florida. “Because of their contributions, we have been able to increase the capacity of our programs. Now, we can help provide more children in our community with opportunities for an enriching education.”

Created in 2004 by Best Buy Founder Dick Schulze, the Foundation awards grants to nonprofits with a focus on human and social services, education, and health and medicine. “We appreciate our partnership with Child Care of Southwest Florida as they continue to help working families in Lee and Hendry counties by ensuring access to high quality early learning education,” states Mary Beth Geier, Florida director of the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation.

Child Care of Southwest Florida is accredited through the National Accreditation Commission for Early Learning Leaders and is a Gold Seal Quality Care Program through the Florida Department of Children and Families. Additionally, centers maintain Level 5 and above scores on their CLASS assessments through the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida.
