OKEECHOBEE — Local Christian schools were warned to be vigilant this morning after the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office learned of a suspicious person inquiring about Christian schools in Okeechobee. The schools are on alert and taking necessary precautions.
Amanda Carver, principal at Rock Solid Christian Academy said, “As always, student safety is our top priority.”
Parents were told no threats were made directly toward Rock Solid Christian Academy nor were any suspicious people on the property at any time. There are extra law enforcement officers in the area, and all classes being held on the main campus today. In addition, movement outside by teachers and students will be limited.
