OKEECHOBEE — Healthy Start of Okeechobee is calling all dads and father figures to Join them for a morning of fun, fishing, and family bonding at Dad’s Game Plan – Fishing Edition on Saturday, July 19 at 9-11 a.m. at the Okeechobee Agri-Civic Center.
This free event is designed to give dads and their kids a chance to connect in a relaxed, outdoor setting. Whether you’re an experienced angler or it’s your first time with a rod and reel, this event is for everyone. There will be light competitions, tasty snacks, and great conversations — all centered around strengthening the bond between fathers and their children.
Midway through the morning, everyone will take a short break for a meaningful chat about fatherhood, family, and the support services Healthy Start offers to help families thrive.
No gear? No problem, there are supplies available for those who need them. Just bring your enthusiasm and be ready to enjoy some quality time with your little one.
This isn’t just a fishing trip — it’s a chance to be present, make memories, and celebrate the important role dads play in their children’s lives.
