The following individuals were arrested on felony or driving under the influence (DUI) charges by Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), Glades County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) or Seminole Police Department (SPD).
• Brandi Bennette, 41, Sebring, was arrested on Oct. 17, by GCSO and charged with possession of a controlled substance as well as three misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer without violence and out of county warrant. Bond was set at $22,000.
• Bert Crawford, 47, was arrested on Oct. 17, by GCSO and charged with possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation. Crawford is being held without bond.
• Dennis Whitaker, 42, Brighton, was arrested on Oct. 20, by GCSO and charged with driving while license suspended/revoked/canceled habitual offender and two misdemeanor charges of resisting an officer without violence and traffic violation. Whitaker is being held without bond.
• Johanna Gonzalez, 29, was arrested on Oct. 21, by GCSO and charged with possession of a controlled substance. Gonzalez is being held without bond.
• Thomas Sims, 42, Okeechobee, was arrested on Oct. 21, by GCSO and charged with driving while license suspended/revoked/canceled habitual offender and a misdemeanor traffic violation. Bond was set at $8,000.
• Adam Rosa, 38, Okeechobee, was arrested on Oct. 22, by GCSO and charged with driving while license suspended/revoked/canceled habitual offender, and fleeing and eluding police. Bond was set at $17,000 but Rosa has a hold for Okeechobee County.
• Scott Durban, 52, was arrested on Oct. 22, by GCSO and charged with possession of a controlled substance, fraud/swindle, two counts of fraud/impersonation, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $21,500.
• Jon Cox, 34, was arrested on Oct. 24, by GCSO and charged with written threats/intimidation and a misdemeanor of intimidation. Bond was set at $52,500.
• Jose Lopez, 53, LaBelle, was arrested on Oct. 26, by GCSO and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a misdemeanor charge of resisting an officer without violence. Bond was set at $9,000.
