“The greedy stir up conflict, but those who trust in the Lord will prosper.” – Proverbs 28:25

It seems counterintuitive but greed never gets you what you want. As God’s word says, “it only causes trouble and discontent.” Chasing after the world and its pleasures will only leave you empty.

Most of us have read or heard of the story of Judas. You know, the disciple who betrayed Jesus with a kiss. Judas will forever be known for his sin of greed and love for money.

Like the proverb mentions, Judas “stirred up conflict” by making a deal with the Pharisees and Jewish Leaders to betray and hand over Jesus for a bag of coins! Well, we know how that ended for Judas. He became so guilt stricken that he took his own life.

Greed is never a good thing. But trusting in the Lord has and always will be the best choice we can make. We don’t put our trust in money! Money comes and goes, and in my own experience, it seems to go more often than it comes!

Allowing God to enter our lives and relying on Him for everything will (in the end) be the best choice and most fulfilling! We may not prosper monetarily in this life but the “inner man” along with our soul and spirit will prosper beyond what we know or can imagine.

“Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things.”
-Colossians 3:2

God, money, prosper
