LABELLE — When LaBelle Middle School launched their first-ever swine show team, they named their pig Eleanor “Ellie” Roosevelt— a tribute to a true way-maker. At the swine show, Cecil Marquez proved he’s a way-maker, too, placing seventh in his class at the swine show. Cecil’s hard work started long before the ring. He and his family spent countless hours building and refurbishing Ellie’s pen, handling every feeding and bath with dedication. LMS is incredibly proud of the foundation Cecil built for their chapter’s future. [Photo courtesy LaBelle Middle School FFA]
