OKEECHOBEE — On Friday, March 13, Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a report of a white male performing sexual acts on himself at public location.
A deputy was dispatched to 200 State Road 78 West, Lock 7, to speak with the individuals who had called in the complaint. Deputy Esquival located the vehicle matching the description the caller had provided and made contact with the driver and explained that he had been observed touching himself inappropriately. The driver stated that he did not want anyone to see him.
The deputy observed what appeared to be a dildo, partially covered by a towel, sitting in the seat next to the driver along with a 10 inch portable DVD player. After the deputy pointed these items out the driver admitted that he had been using the DVD player to watch pornography and was performing sexual acts on himself. He stated that he believed he was alone.
The deputy then made contact with the man who had called in the incident and a woman with him who had also witnessed it. They both stated that they had witnessed the driver of the white truck performing sexual acts on himself and the man provided a short video that he had recorded of the incident.
According to the arrest affidavit, the video is approximately 24 seconds in length and shows the driver of the white truck sitting with the door open making back and forth gestures near his left thigh. His entire left leg is visible as well as his left elbow. The deputy surmised that based on the placement of the driver’s left elbow and repeated motion that it appeared that he was performing sexual acts on himself. The driver also did not appear to be wearing any clothing in the visible portions of the video.
The two individuals who witnessed the incident stated that it made them feel very uncomfortable and that they wished to pursue charges.
Deputy Esquival conducted a search of the suspects vehicle and among the items found were two dildos in total, a blonde wig, and a bottle of personal lubricant as well as items not relevant to the investigation.
The suspect was read his Miranda rights, placed under arrest and charged with exposure of sexual organs.
Bond was set at $1,000.
