Marker meets MLB player

Special to Lake Okeechobee News
It’s not often you get to toss a ball around with one of your favorite MLB players. Carol Marker got to do it Tuesday with her favorite New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo. He’s a very down to earth and humble man that takes the time to make dreams like this happen for people.

OKEECHOBEE -- It’s not often you get to toss a ball around with one of your favorite MLB players. Carol Marker got to do it Feb. 18 with her favorite New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo. He’s a very down-to-earth and humble man who takes the time to make dreams like this happen. The encounter happened during a baseball camp for Special Olympic athletes.
