Recently, School Resource Deputies Kanarick and Gonzalez proudly represented the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office at the 47th Annual Florida Association of School Resource Officers (FASRO) School Safety and Training Conference in Jacksonville.

FASRO is the nation's largest state organization dedicated to school policing, providing some of the most advanced and comprehensive training available for School Resource Officers, law enforcement leaders, educators, and school safety professionals. The conference focuses on school safety, crisis response, youth engagement, leadership, legal updates, and best practices to help ensure Florida's schools remain safe learning environments.

At the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office, we believe training is an investment in our community. By attending conferences like FASRO, Deputies Kanarick and Gonzalez gain valuable knowledge, strengthen professional partnerships, and bring back new ideas and proven strategies that benefit the students, faculty, and families they serve every day.

Thank you, Deputies Kanarick and Gonzalez, for your continued commitment to protecting, mentoring, and inspiring the next generation. Your dedication helps make our schools and our community a safer place for everyone.
