OKEECHOBEE — An Okeechobee man was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Glades County.
The accident is believed to have taken place on Tuesday, Sept. 23 but the vehicle and the victim were not found until the following day. The vehicle was travelling north on State Road 78 approaching the overpass on Indian Prairie Canal. The vehicle travelled off the roadway and entered a water-filled canal.
The driver of the sedan was a 46-year-old Okeechobee man. He was wearing his seatbelt.
The crash is under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.
