OKEECHOBEE — We had some special visitors at the Sheriff’s Office on Monday, March 16, from the Chobee Community United Explore Okeechobee Spring Break Camp, hosted by the Okeechobee Youth Football League, and it was a great time all around.

Our Community Action Team (CAT), correctional staff, and even Chief Deputy Hazellief spent time with the group talking about what we do each day to serve our community. The youth got to check out some of our equipment, ask questions, and even tour the new jail facility that will begin receiving inmates next week.

Lots of laughs, plenty of curiosity, and fun had by all. Thanks to the campers for spending part of their Spring Break with us. We had a blast!
