OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee Community Theatre has opened casting for its upcoming production of “Proof”, with auditions scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 3 and 4. Adult actors of all experience levels are encouraged to attend and explore roles in David Auburn’s Pulitzer Prize–winning drama, which blends family tension, mathematical brilliance, and questions of trust.

Auditions will begin at 7 p.m. on both days at the Episcopal Church located at 200 NW Third St., and will include cold readings from simple scripts. The directing team notes that they are looking for performers who can bring emotional nuance, sharp timing, and authentic connection to the stage.

The production is slated to begin rehearsals in August with performances planned for October. Those interested in auditioning or helping behind the scenes with lights, sound, props, and more are invited to arrive a few minutes early to complete forms and meet the creative teams.
