OKEECHOBEE — Members of the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office and members of the public met on Feb. 21 with the family of Sgt. Cari Arnold, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2022.
OCSO Safety Cadets were present for the ceremony. Sgt. Arnold had a heart for children, and she desired to see a youth program in the sheriff's department. Another of Sgt. Arnold's goals was to bring a gun dog to the sheriff's office. She believed it was needed to keep the schools safe. Last month, K9 Cari joined the department. K9Cari had a great time showing off her skills and playing ball with the family.
