OKEECHOBEE — A man being sought for his alleged involvement in a home invasion robbery last month has been caught.
Although Albert Lewis Hester III, 22, is in custody his alleged partner is still on the loose. Remberto Lebron Brown, 22, is still on the run.

Brown is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Hester was arrested Wednesday, Aug. 12, in Hendry County on a Glades County warrant charging him with two misdemeanor counts of failure to appear.
When the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office ran a check and found Hester was wanted in Okeechobee County, they contacted the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) and Detective Javier Gonzalez then drove to LaBelle to interview Hester.
Hester was returned Thursday to the Okeechobee County Jail. He is charged with one count of home invasion robbery and two felony counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.
He is being held in the Okeechobee County Jail on $200,000 bond.
According to Detective Gonzalez, Hester and Brown broke into a DeBerry Gardens home on Thursday, July 23, just before dark and held two women at gunpoint. The two men then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as some jewelry.
“They shared a small, semi-automatic handgun,” said the detective.
Neither man, added the investigator, wore a mask.
No one was injured and there were no other persons in the home at the time of the alleged robbery.
Although both men had an Okeechobee address, it was thought they were possibly in the Clewiston area. However, pointed out the OCSO investigator in an
earlier interview, “they could still be here (in Okeechobee).”
He went on to say Brown could also be in the Lee County or Hillsborough County areas.
If anyone has information on this case or Brown’s whereabouts, they are asked to contact Detective Gonzalez at 863-763-3117, ext. 5106. Or, contact Treasure Coast Crimestoppers at TCWatch.org; or, 1-800-273-8477.
