HENDRY COUNTY — A 66-year-old Avon Park man succumbed to injuries received in a single vehicular crash on Sept. 25.
A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) press release stated that at approximately 11:30 p.m. an SUV operated by the 66-year-old Avon Park man was traveling north in the outside lane of U.S. 27, approaching the intersection of County Road 720. The driver lost control of his vehicle and traveled off the roadway to the right, entered a ditch and overturned.
