Student athletes were recognized for their achievements on the fields and courts this year. Imani Greaves was awarded CHS Female Athlete of the Year. Greaves is the Lady Tigers Track and Field MVP and Lady Tiger Soccer co-MVP. She was just recently awarded an at large bid to compete in the 2025 Florida High School state championship in Track and Field.
Imani is a multi-sport athlete at Clewiston, playing softball, volleyball, and soccer during her years at CHS. In 2022, she led the nation in saves as a Lady Tiger varsity soccer team goalkeeper with 426.
William Bussott was awarded CHS Male Athlete of the Year during the banquet. Bussott punched his ticket to the Florida High School Athletic Association state tournament this year by finishing third in his weight class. He’s now the second wrestler Clewiston has advanced to the state tournament in back-to-back years. Last year, Gumaro Martinez III earned a ticket to the state tournament after placing fourth in his weight class at regionals.
At the Skyline Titan Tussle this year, Bussott not only won first place, he also secured his 100th career win while representing Tiger Wrestling.
Chris Barraza was awarded the Administrative Award at the banquet for his support of Clewiston Athletics this year.
