Cover that Pumpkin for Healthy Start
Help us support families in need with Healthy Start’s Cover That Pumpkin Diaper Drive! Drop off new packs of diapers at the Library during the month of October to help our community this holiday season.  
 
Treats for Eats Food Drive for the Salvation Army
Help us support those in need and the Salvation Army with our Treats for Eats Food Drive! Drop off new canned foods at the Library Sept. 29 - Oct. 31 for your chance to win a Boo Basket! 1 can/box = 1 ticket. Suggested donations: Pasta, PB&J, vegetables, beans, meats, juices, etc. Winning ticket will be pulled on October 31st. 
 
Yoga at the Okeechobee Library!
Looking for a way to get in some light exercise? Join us for Yoga at the Library on Tuesdays & Thursdays @ 10 a.m. Perfect for adults and seniors, bring a mat and practice some zen with fellow yoga enthusiasts and beginners! Suggested ages: Adults.
 
Fall painting at the Okeechobee Library!
Join us for a fun Kid Craft on Saturday, Oct. 4 @ 3:00 p.m. Follow along with a professional artist and create your own Snoopy & Jack-o-Lantern painting. And enjoy some fun giveaways and snacks. Craft supplies will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Suggested ages: Children 6 & up
 
Storytime at the Okeechobee Library!
Join us at the Okeechobee County Library on Wednesday, October 8 @ 11 a.m. for a Monster-themed storytime & Wednesday, October 22 @ 11:00 a.m. for a Ghost-themed storytime. Enjoy a story, activity, and snacks! Suggested ages: Preschool.
 
Princess & Witch Karaoke at the Okeechobee Library!
Have some Wicked fun on Saturday, Oct. 11 @ 3 p.m. with our Princess & Witch Karaoke Party! Enjoy some free snacks and giveaways while you sing along to some of our favorite princess and witch songs from our favorite musicals and animated films! Suggested ages: Children & Preschool.
 
Author Gregory Enns at the Okeechobee Library!
The Okeechobee Historical Society and Okeechobee Library will host a book release party Tuesday, Oct. 14 @ 3 p.m. for the launch of 'Cow Creek Chronicles: The Rise and Fall of an Ealy Florida Cattle Ranch' by Gregory Enns. Come meet the author and hear more about his work researching the Raulerson family and ranch and learn more about our local history. Light refreshments will be available. 
 
Author Father Hugh Duffy at the Okeechobee Library!
The Okeechobee Library will be hosting an author signing for the book 'You Duped Me O Lord' by Father Hugh Duffy on Saturday, October 18 @ noon. Come meet the author as he shares his tales on his more than 50-year journey as a Catholic priest, including his time as a pastor of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Okeechobee. Light refreshments will be available. 
 
BINGO at the Okeechobee Library!
Calling all Bingo players for our new monthly Bingo program on Saturday, October 18 @ 3:00 p.m. Stop by for a chance to win a wide range of prizes and have a fun game and light refreshments with other adults! Suggested ages: Adults. 
 
Annual Floating Pumpkin Patch is back!
Have some pumpkin patch fun with a twist at the Sports Complex Pool, Saturday, October 18 @ 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Jump into floating pumpkins and pick out your favorite,  show off your pumpkin-decorating skills, grab some free treats and books provided by the Okeechobee Library, and enjoy family swim time! 
 
October Book Club at the Okeechobee Library!
Join us each month for light refreshments and a discussion of our latest read! Book Club will meet Thursday, October 23 @ 2:00 p.m. to discuss ‘‘The Little Liar’’ by Mitch Albom. Suggested ages: Adults. 
 
Crafter-noon program at the Okeechobee Library!
Join us for a monthly craft session on Saturday, October 25 @ 4:00 p.m.! Enjoy light refreshments, good company, and some craft-time to make Potion Bottle decorations! Craft supplies will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Suggested ages: Teens & Adults. 
 
Halloween Puppet Show at the Okeechobee Library!
Come on by for a Halloween Puppet Show! Join us as we welcome back ventriloquist Jacki Manna on Thursday, October 30 @ 3:00 p.m. and enjoy magic tricks, puppets, balloons, candy, giveaways, and more! Suggested ages: Children & Preschool.
 
Coco Movie & Activity at the Okeechobee Library!
Join us on Saturday, November 1 @ 3:00 p.m. for a Coco movie activity! Enjoy some free snacks and giveaways and watch the Coco movie as we make our own Sugar Skull masks. Suggested ages: Children & Preschool.
