OKEECHOBEE -- At their Aug. 20 meeting, Okeechobee County Commissioners honored Veterans Services Officer Paul Hiott who has announced his retirement.
"In 1996, I started my career in Okeechobee County," said Hiott. "Thirty years later, I am ending my career here."
He said the new Veterans Services Office will be on board soon. "There will be no interruption of services to veterans," he said.
