What can you say and do about a world gone mad?
Where does all the hate and evil come from that breeds the lack of respect and civil rights that innately belong to every human person God has created? Every human has the right to life, liberty and the right to pursue happiness in accordance with the will of our Creator. God is, has been and always will be All Good, and therefore to do good and not evil is to follow His Will.
Unfortunately, many have turned away from God. They believe they are the end all of all power and this has made things very easy for the devil to slip in and do his hideous and repulsive work. When humans feel that they don’t need God, then they fail to do good. It really is that simple. We cannot of our own do anything good. We need the power of God in our lives and to realize just how much we need him. We are sinful human beings and so that is why we have laws to keep us on the right path. We have God’s laws which are above all laws and we have natural laws that help to sustain us as decent human people.
Our forefathers knew this and they placed these United States under the Providence of God. Today these same forefathers would turn over in their graves if they saw a government not for the people or by the people but one that tries to govern every single aspect of people’s lives. The government is there no longer to serve the people, but to impose servitude on those they govern. We fought one revolution over this already. What will it take to stop the terrible evils that are the result of a crooked and untrustworthy government?
As a result, innocent people like policemen and others trying to do a decent job are put in jail for no good reason. Our retired service men and woman are not getting the proper health care they need. There is so much hate and bigotry toward people who are of different race, religion and other sometimes nonsensical reasons.
What we can all do is pray for one thing, and then do what we can to stand up for what is right and just. Let our voices be heard when we see someone treated unjustly for a just cause.
I would like to insert here a prayer called Harvest Prayer. The prayer was written anonymously and was used in a 17th Century Sermon.
“Please be gentle with yourself and others. We are all children of the Creator, and none can say why some fields blossom while others lay brown beneath the harvest sun. Take hope that your season will come. Share the joy of those whose season is at hand. Care for those around you. Look past your differences. Their dreams are no less than yours, their choices in life no more easily made.
“And give. Give in any way you can. Gove whatever you possess. Give from your heart. To give is to love. To withhold is to wither. Care less for the size of your harvest than for how it is shared, and your life will have meaning and your heart will have peace.” Don’t ever forget the words of the song, “What the world needs now, is love, sweet love.”
