BELLE GLADE — An Argentina woman succumbed to injuries received in a May 13 traffic crash in Belle Glade.

A Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office press release stated that at approximately 6:02 p.m. a 2019 Mercedes operated by Victor Sanagal, 69, of Argentina, was traveling southbound on County Road 827A, within the 36500 block, approaching a right turn. At the time of the collision, it was raining heavily and the driver was unfamiliar with the roadway.

As Mr. Sanagal approached the right turn, he failed to observe a stop sign, and traveled through the intersection where in the southwest corner he collided with a metal gate pole. During the collision with the metal pole, the Mercedes was vaulted into the air and continued in a southwest direction before colliding with a wooden light pole, and finally coming to final rest in an agricultural canal.

It was reported that as a result of the collision a passenger in the car, Maria Vincent-Boineau, was pinned within the vehicle with fatal injuries, and was pronounced deceased by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. Mr. Sanagal was transported to Saint Marys Hospital for minor injuries he received during the collision.

Both the drive and passenger were wearing seatbelts.

The traffic accident was investigated by investigator Sean Ramsey.
