Second Annual “Tour de Friendship” Charity Ride returns to South Florida

Supports special needs programs

Posted

BOCA RATON — Following a successful inaugural ride that brought together cyclists and supporters from across South Florida and raised over $56,000 for special needs programming, Friendship House of Boca Raton is proud to announce the second annual Tour de Friendship on Sunday, November 15, 2026. This growing charity cycling event welcomes riders from across Florida to ride in support of children and young adults with special needs.

The community charity ride will feature both 30-mile and 60-mile route options from Boca Raton to Palm Beach and back along scenic A1A, welcoming riders of varying experience levels to ride together in support of children and young adults with special needs.

Building off last year’s momentum, organizers are aiming to nearly double this year’s impact by bringing together approximately 60 riders and expanding the overall ride experience with enhanced support, upgraded rider gear, and new community elements throughout the day.

This year’s ride will include:

  • 30- and 60-mile route options
  • FHP escort support
  • SAG vehicles and stocked rest stops
  • Custom rider jersey, water bottles, and socks
  • Expanded ride logistics and coordination
  • Finish-line BBQ celebration for riders, families, and supporters
Riders register with a $150 entry fee and commit to raising a minimum of $1,500, helping directly support Friendship House programs that build friendship, inclusion, and community for children and young adults with special needs.

“Last year showed us what’s possible when people come together around a meaningful cause,” said Rabbi Sholom Kessler. “This year, we’re building on that foundation in an even bigger way, creating an experience that brings together cycling, community, and purpose while supporting children and young adults with special needs.”

The day will begin with rider check-in and breakfast before cyclists head out along A1A, followed by a finish-line celebration as families, volunteers, and supporters gather to welcome riders home.

Founded in 2020, Friendship House is a nonprofit dedicated to building an inclusive community for children, teens, and young adults with special needs through social, recreational, and community-based programming designed to break the cycle of isolation.
