The Palm Beach County Classroom Teachers Association - Retired (CTA-R), recently awarded the Kay Brown Future Educator Scholarship to Paola Paniagua a graduate of Pahokee Middle-Senior High School. The Kay Brown Future Educator honors the memory of one of Palm Beach County’s education leaders. Mrs. Brown taught for over 30 years, worked on numerous committees for her school and community, and was a leader of the Classroom Teachers Association and Retired Classroom Teachers Association. An activist, she enjoyed encouraging her students to join the profession. Miss Paniagua plans on majoring in Elementary Education.

Jermain Robinson also a graduate of Pahokee Middle-Senior High School received a scholarship to pursue his studies in the field of cyber security.

The awards were presented to the students at their school’s Senior Awards Ceremony. Guidance counselors at all Palm Beach County high schools were informed of the scholarship program and were asked to disseminate the applications to seniors.
