Meet at the STA 5/6 Deer Fence Road Public Access Parking Lot. Two groups will lead by SFWMD biologists with six cars leaving at 7:45 am and six cars at 8:15 am to try to minimize stressing the birds at the site. There will be frequent stops. Dogs are not allowed.
This is a Free event. Donations are accepted to help defray Hendry Glades Audubon's expenses to host these trips.
Through a partnership with the South Florida Water Management District Hendry Glades Audubon will offer to the public escorted driving birding trips to Stormwater Treatment Area 5 (STA-5/6) beginning at the Deer Fence Road Public Access Area. These driving trips, with frequent stops, are led by Hendry Glades Audubon volunteers. Reservations required.
