BELLE GLADE — A heads-up is going out to business owners and entrepreneurs in the greater Lake Okeechobee region, especially the Glades agricultural areas of western Palm Beach and eastern Hendry counties. The Lake Okeechobee Regional Economic Alliance of Palm Beach County is having its inaugural “Business after hours” gathering beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28.
It’s a chance for business-minded folks to exchange information about their products and services, make new contacts, renew acquaintances and hobnob over refreshments while meeting some of the individuals who make up LORE’s board, said the alliance’s administrative consultant, Chris Radentz.
The event will take place through 7:30 that evening at the Community United Methodist Church, 401 S.W. First St., Belle Glade, FL 33430. Anyone planning to attend is asked to RSVP before Friday to ensure that they have enough refreshments on hand to accommodate everyone.
She sent out an email blast to chamber members throughout the region this week reminding everybody that there are still a few spaces left for exhibitors, at $50 each. Being an exhibitor will allow you to set up a table to show off your business at the event.
If you are interested, please contact Chris Radentz before Friday, Feb. 22.
Event sponsors are Everglades Trading (evergladestrading.com); the Belle Glade Chamber of Commerce; and the Pahokee Chamber of Commerce. Please email info@lorealliancepbc.org with the names of those who will be attending.
