LABELLE — The Hendry County Road & Bridge Contractor, Lynch Paving & Construction Co., Inc., along with its subcontractors, have begun a roadway project which includes roadway reconstruction on Fort Denaud Road from Fort Denaud Bridge Way to Huggetts Road.
Motorists and residents should expect the roadway to be down to a single lane with daily, intermittent lane closures from Fort Denaud Bridge Way to Huggetts Road between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The closures are necessary to improve the conditions of the roadway.
Hendry County requests that the roadway be limited to local traffic ONLY during work hours.
Traffic traveling through the closure area will need to be sure they are entering and existing the roadway carefully while crews are working as the work area is limited in most areas.
For the safety of the motorist, residents, and workers within the project limits, we ask that everyone avoid the area if possible during work hours.
Motorists are asked to please travel with caution through this area.
Please seek an alternate route and allow extra time to reach your destination during the duration of the project.
Work is expected to be complete by late September 2019.
Residents with questions are asked to please call Hendry County Engineering Department at 863-675-5222.
