She defended the choice, saying those songs deserve a home. Alongside her music, Cardi B's personal life, including her relationship with Diggs, continues to capture public attention.

Jimmy Kimmel the latest TV host to get into trouble. Here's a look at others

NEW YORK (AP) — Jimmy Kimmel’s recent suspension from late-night TV is just the latest time on-air comments have gotten a host in trouble. Brian Williams was suspended in 2015 for false claims about his Iraq War experiences. Sharon Osbourne and Megyn Kelly were fired for controversial discussions on race. Don Lemon was let go after comments about a woman's looks. Billy Bush was fired after a vulgar conversation with Donald Trump surfaced. Romantic relationships, like those of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, and inappropriate, physical off-air conduct have also led to dismissals.

Conservationists sue to stop Florida's first black bear hunt in a decade

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Conservationists are suing to stop Florida from holding its first black bear hunt in a decade. State officials approved the plan in August despite strong opposition. The group Bear Warriors United filed the complaint against the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in a court in Tallahassee on Wednesday. Attorneys for the group argue that the bear hunt scheduled for December runs contrary to the state agency’s own directives to conserve native species. State officials say they need to manage the growing bear population. A spokesperson for the state agency declined to comment.

Uber Eats will soon launch US drone delivery in partnership with Flytrex

Uber Eats will soon be using drones to deliver some meals. Uber said Thursday that it’s partnering with drone company Flytrex Inc. The companies expect to begin deliveries in test markets by the end of this year. Uber didn’t say where those markets will be. It’s the latest partnership in the fast-growing drone delivery space. Flytrex, which is based in Tel Aviv, Israel, also makes deliveries for Uber Eats’ rival DoorDash. Wing, a drone company owned by Google parent Alphabet, works with DoorDash and Walmart. Uber is investing in Flytrex as part of the deal but didn't reveal how much.

Toyota and Hyundai recall more than 1.1 million vehicles for seat belt, panel display problems

Toyota and Hyundai are recalling a combined 1.1 million vehicles due to problems with the instrument panel displays and seat belts, U.S. auto regulators said Thursday. Toyota is recalling 591,377 automobiles because the instrument panel display can fail and not show the driver critical information including vehicle speed, brake system and tire pressure warning lights, which could lead to a crash and injury. The Hyundai recall includes 568,580 Palisade SUVs in which the seat belt buckles may fail to latch and not properly restrain passengers in a crash, increasing the possibility of injury.

One of the rarest birds in the world finds a city sanctuary in Hong Kong

HONG KONG (AP) — Yellow-crested cockatoos have found a sanctuary in Hong Kong's urban parks, but they face housing troubles similar to their human neighbors. These screechy birds, native to Indonesia and East Timor, make up about 10% of the species' global wild population. A researcher found their population is stagnating because the natural cavities in old trees that they need for nesting are vanishing due to typhoons and government tree trimming for public safety. This compounds global pressures on the species such as the illegal pet trade and climate change. Conservationists have stepped in with a solution: installing artificial nest boxes. One already has a pair of cockatoos nesting inside.

Northrop Grumman cargo ship reaches the International Space Station a day late after engine issue

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — A supply ship has arrived at the International Space Station after a day's delay due to a premature engine shutdown. Astronauts used the space station's robot arm to pluck Northrop Grumman's Cygnus capsule from orbit Thursday as they soared over Africa. The 11,000-pound shipment should have reached the space station Wednesday, three days after blasting off from Florida. But when the capsule tried to climb higher, its main engine shut down too soon. Engineers traced the problem to an overly conservative software setting.

Puerto Rican homeowner, 84, sues Bad Bunny over use of iconic house in video and residency

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — An 84-year-old man whose home in southeast Puerto Rico served as inspiration for the house that became an iconic symbol at Bad Bunny’s residency this summer has sued the superstar. Román Carrasco Delgado is seeking at least $1 million in damages and emotional distress. The lawsuit filed Wednesday alleges that “a large number of people” take pictures and video of his home daily, stripping him of his privacy. The salmon-colored home with yellow trim and a wraparound porch was featured in Bad Bunny’s short film that launched his “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” album in January. It also served as the model for a real-size home featured at the singer’s residency.

Bear attack on hiker closes trail in Yellowstone National Park

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — A trail remains closed in Yellowstone National Park after a bear attacked a hiker. Park officials say the attack happened Tuesday on the Turbid Lake Trail northeast of Yellowstone Lake. The 29-year-old man suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries to his arm and chest. Medics walked out with the hiker, who was then taken to a clinic and then to a hospital where he was treated and released. It was the first bear attack on a person in Yellowstone since 2021. Park officials suspect it was a grizzly bear and not a more common black bear because of the animal's size, location and behavior.
