Constance Carter’s eighth grade Intensive Reading Classes recently read articles about young people doing the right thing and helping other young people. Then they began designing flyers on this topic … and the idea about having a Food Drive as well as a Toy Drive at Immokalee Middle School was germinated! The students couldn’t agree on one, so It blossomed into doing both and is now in full swing. The students have decorated donation boxes for the front office, have designed and created flyers and posters for around campus. The Food Drive will benefit Harry Chapin Food Bank (non-perishable food items). The Toy Drive to benefit Toys for Tots (new unwrapped toys) Pictued L to R: Irvans Malbranche, Jose Cantu and Mariana Cabanillas.
