The Collier County Sheriff’s Office received word of a crash with injuries shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the intersection of SR 82 and Gator Slough Ln. Deputies on scene said that the driver of the truck was pulling farm equipment when he tried to make a U-turn on SR 82 at the entrance to Gator Slough Ln. The driver of the truck failed to see the BMW heading westbound and pulled the truck and trailer onto the roadway and into the path of the car. The driver of the car was transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment. The driver of the truck refused to talk about the crash and the Florida Highway Patrol is investigating. There is no word yet if the driver of the truck will be cited for the crash.
