Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) Foundation received a $5,000 grant from Enterprise Holdings Foundation. The grant is directed for scholarships for the college’s student veterans. This is the third year that Enterprise has donated to FSW for this purpose. “These students sacrificed to serve our country, and we want to show our appreciation for that when they return home and continue their education. A deep part of our culture centers on our special affinity for our military veterans,” said Kayla Cramer, Talent Acquisition Manager, Enterprise Holdings. From day one, members of the military have played an important role in the history and culture of Enterprise. After all, founder Jack Taylor was a decorated fighter pilot in WWII. He started his business with a big dream and the military values that would become the foundation of Enterprise—both then and now. The Taylor family has continued to honor the leadership and vision that Jack instilled over half a century ago by playing a very active role in offering veterans and their families the support and training they need to be successful. Florida SouthWestern State College is Southwest Florida’s largest and one of the most affordable institutions of higher education. Annually serving nearly 22,000 students globally, FSW offers a variety of nationally-ranked, career-focused academic programs with two- and four-year degrees, and professional certifications. Students are also active in clubs and programs catered to their interests. FSW debuted its intercollegiate athletics program in the fall 2015. Visit www.FSW.edu for more information.
