Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are asking for your help in locating the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run in crash in Immokalee early Sunday morning.
According to the crash report, an unknown driver was traveling north on Carson Road Extension just north of Lincoln Blvd near Arrowhead Reserve when the passenger side mirror struck 51-year old Geraldo Gariby who was riding a bicycle north on Carson Road Extension. Gariby was thrown from the bicycle and landed in the roadway.
It’s believed that the vehicle then fled north on Carson Road Extension toward Lake Trafford Road.
EMS transported Gariby to Lee Memorial Hospital with critical injuries.
Troopers believe that the suspect vehicle might be a black Ford pickup truck or small SUV with a missing right side mirror.
Anyone having information regarding the vehicle or driver is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol at 239-938-1800.
