Danny Gonzalez, President of the Immokalee Chamber of Commerce recently gave Fred N. Thomas Jr. who is affectionately called the Mayor of Immokalee, a well deserving complement on trying to improve the community of Immokalee in any way possible during his working years in Immokalee. Fred and his wife Cherryle (a retired Dietitian) came to Immokalee in the late 80’s. Fred worked and retired from the Collier County Housing Authority in the Naples and Immokalee Offices. Mr. Thomas was involved in numerous projects to make a difference in the community of Immokalee. Danny stated he hopes to continue in Mr. Thomas’ foot steps with making positive changes. Danny is actively involved with the CRA, MSTU( Lightning and Beautification),Code Enforcement and with the Community Safety Team.
