NAPLES – Guadalupe Resale Shop has announced a new “Boutique Bash” donation program that allows party hosts to incorporate a charity collection event into their social gatherings.
Churches, businesses, community groups and neighborhood associations can host a “Boutique Bash” at any location, requesting that each invited guest brings at least one donation for the Guadalupe Resale Shop in North Naples. After the event, the Resale Shop will send volunteers to collect all of the donations.
The Resale Shop accepts donations of like-new furniture, home décor, kitchenware, artwork, lamps, linens, DVDs and CDs, books and all types of nearly new ladies and men’s clothing, including accessories such as jewelry, purses and shoes.
“Hosting a ‘Boutique Bash’ is a great excuse to invite friends, neighbors and colleagues over for hors d’oeuvres, drinks and to socialize,” said Tracy Connelly, vice president of development at Guadalupe Center. “And when the night is over, the donations you’ve collected will ultimately help a nonprofit organization enhance educational programs for local children.”
Guadalupe Center has a mission of breaking the cycle of poverty through education for the children of Immokalee. All proceeds from sales at the Resale Shop help fund Guadalupe Center’s three education programs: Early Childhood Education, After-School Tutoring & Summer Enrichment and the college preparatory Tutor Corps.
Several churches and community organizations already have held a “Boutique Bash,” netting dozens of bags and boxes filled with purses, shoes, shirts, business wear, dresses and other household items.
“All donations to the Resale Shop, located at 12980 Tamiami Trail N., Unit 10, in Naples, are tax deductible. For more information on scheduling a “Boutique Bash,” please call the Resale Shop at 239-594-2696 or visit
