iCoArts – a nonprofit program in Immokalee (FL) that offers teens the opportunity to explore, develop and hone their inner strength, creativity and unique abilities to improve the quality of their lives, their families and community – announces their first Immokalee Community Clean Up Day on Wednesday, July 25, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Individuals and groups can join iCoArts members and Co-Executive Directors Lisa Banks and Keith Banks at the Impact Center, 1400 N 15th Street, Immokalee (beside Florida Community Bank), for instruction. iCoArts, a program of at the 1 by 1 Leadership Foundation, helps teens find their voice, share their stories and hone leadership skills that benefit them now and into the future through the power of art. Co-Executive Directors Lisa Banks and Keith Banks, owners of Ft. Myers-based Movement 4 Life, bring more than 30 years of dance studio ownership and experience to the nonprofit, Immokalee-based venture. Together, the husband and wife team have created a year-round program that provides a safe-haven to cultivate budding young artists, help them navigate the often awkward teen years, benefit from mentoring by industry professionals, enjoy live shows, participate in a variety of showcases and performances designed to give-back to their community, as well as practice healthy relationship skills with peers and mentors. The July 25 Immokalee Community Clean Up Day is the first of three being hosted by iCoArts for the 2018-2019 season. The other two dates are October 6, 2018, and January 19, 2019.
