Immokalee Library now showing televised county commissioners meetings

To bring Collier County government’s business closer to the Immokalee community, the Collier County Communication and Customer Relations Office announced today that the public may view live televised meetings of the Board of County Commissioners at the Immokalee Library, 417 N. 1st St., Immokalee, Florida 34142. A television was recently installed in the Program Room of the library for this specific purpose. Upcoming televised meetings of the Board of County Commissioners are as follows: • 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13 - Regular Board of County Commissioners meeting • 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 15 - Fiscal Year 2018 Proposed Budget Review workshop • 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20 – Master Plan Update, Rural Fringe Mixed-Use District workshop • 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27 - Regular Board of County Commissioners meeting • 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11 - Regular Board of County Commissioners meeting “I am pleased that we can bring Collier County government a little closer to our Immokalee residents,” said District 5 Commissioner William L. McDaniel, Jr., who represents Immokalee. “I hope that our residents take advantage of this opportunity to find out how the board is voting on these issues and to contact my office with any questions or concerns.” Collier Television, which is on channel 97 for most cable subscribers, provides live coverage of meetings of the Board of County Commissioners, Planning Commission, Code Enforcement Board, Tourist Development Council and many other committee meetings and workshops. Those meetings are held in the Board of County Commissioners Chambers, third floor, Collier County Government Center, 3299 Tamiami Trail E., Naples, Florida 34112.
