Last Week (11/23 - 11/28)

• This past Saturday members of the LaBelle High School Boys and Girls Cross country teams participated at the Foot Locker South Region Championships in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Becky Lapp (21:15 Personal Record) and Esmeralda Rodriguez (22:12) ran well for the Cowgirls placing 78th/147 and 94th/140 respectively. The Cowboys were lead by Enrique Jimenez (17:05) 52nd/258, Brendon Hererra (17:06) 54th/258, Omar Figueroa (17:10) 62nd/258, Yoan Prado (17:27) 88th/258, Dalton Hyser (18:21) 154th/258 and Eduardo Benitez (19:24) 212th/258. Great job Coach Frost, Cowboys and Cowgirls!

• The Cowboy Varsity Soccer Team hosted Cape Coral and American Heritage this past week, losing 1-2 to the Seahawks in a close game and tying the Stallions 1-1, bringing their season record to 4-1-1 (3-0). The Cowboys will travel to play district opponents Gateway and Oasis this week.

• The Cowboy Basketball Team beat Immokalee at home this past Monday 64-37. Also over the break, the Cowboy Basketball Team played two games in the Island Coast Turkey Shootout. In their first game, the Cowboys suffered a loss against a tough North Port team by the score of 53-39. Angel Vargas led the team with 12 points in that game.

The boys bounced back quickly however and defeated Naples High School the next day by a score of 73-40. Hugo Vargas led all scorers with 21 points in that game. This brings the Cowboys season record to 3-2 thus far.

This week the Cowboys take on Lehigh Sr. High School, Southwest Florida Christian School, and Clewiston High School.

This Week (11/30 - 12/5)

• The Cowboy Soccer Team will travel to district opponent Gateway on Monday, 11/30/15, with JV and Varsity beginning at 5:30 and 7:00 p.m., respectively, and to Oasis on Thursday, 12/3/15, for a Varsity match that begins at 7:00 p.m. Go Cowboys!

• The Varsity Cowgirl Soccer Team will travel to district opponent Gateway and Oasis on Tuesday, 12/1/15, and Thursday, 12/3/15, respectively, and East Lee on Friday, 12/4/15, with matches beginning at 6:00 p.m. Let’s go Cowgirls!

• The Cowboy Basketball team will travel to Lehigh Senior and Southwest Florida Christian Academy on Tuesday, 12/1/15,and Thursday,12/3/15, respectively, with Junior Varsity matches beginning at 6:00 and Varsity matches beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The Cowboys will also host Clewiston on Friday night, 12/4/15 with JV beginning at 6:00 and Varsity beginning at 7:30 p.m. Let’s go Cowboys!

• The Cowgirl Basketball Team will host North Fort Myers on Monday, 11/30/15, and Lehigh on Tuesday, 12/1/15, respectively, with JV at 6:00 p.m. and Varsity at 7:30 p.m.

The Cowgirls will travel to Lake Placid on Friday, 12/4/15, for JV and Varsity matches beginning at 5:30 and 7:00 p.m., respectively. Good luck Cowgirls!
