On Sunday March 25 at 10:45 a.m., the First Baptist Church of Immokalee will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt. Although, this is only their second year, Timothy Pigg, Senior Pastor, expects over 120 participants. Through word of mouth and social media, Pastor Tim is reaching out for children of all ages to participate. There will be two different egg hunts based on a child’s age: preschoolers (ages 2-5) and children from 1-- 5 grade. In order to pull this off, Pastor Tim expects every member of the church to volunteer for the upcoming egg hunt. “…to show our love for Immokalee… Any time our community can come together and see God’s people loving them, God is glorified.” This is one of several community events that the First Baptist Church of Immokalee offers. He further adds: “We try to encourage everyone participating in our Easter Egg Hunt to attend our Worship Service. During our Worship Service everyone will hear the true meaning of Easter and learn about how God loves them and sent His Son, Jesus to die on a cross in our place.” After the Egg hunt, FBCI will have a luncheon for all the families that were involved.
