Scholarships awarded by the Immokalee Chamber of Commerce

High School had its Senior Scholarship and Award Program on May 12. Cherryle Thomas one of the principal founders of Christmas Around the World Parade and Snow Gala gave two Christmas Scholarships out this year.
The Christmas Around the World Parade & Snow Gala’s Scholarship, was awared to Josselyn Solarzano (left) and Arleth Meza (right) by Cherryle Thomas (center). (Submitted photo/Fred N Thomas, Jr)[/caption] Ms Thomas then asked the IHS student body for help in getting “Santa Claus” especially our Santa Claus in Immokalee back in the Collier County School System for the Christmas Season. Ms Thomas asked the students to ask their School District Representative Roy Terry, all community leaders, families and friends to contact our local Admin Center Staff by phone or letter writing to get Santa Claus and his many efforts in promoting good will and hope to the kids of Collier County. yearly scholarships to any deserving IHS student who was graduating and furthering his/her education, not the typical A or B students but the students who really need a little extra financial help to further their goals. The ICOC gives yearly financial help to the Beta Club. The ICOC also helps promote the Rotary Club with its “Reading Challenge Program” for all fifth graders in all local elementary schools, which was first
