Special to the Immokalee Bulletin
Senator Kathleen Passidomo announced today that the 2018 Collier Legislative Delegation Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 19. The meeting will convene at 9 a.m. in the North Collier Regional Park located at 15000 Livingston Rd. Naples, FL 34109. The delegation will recess at 11:30 a.m. and reconvene at 2 p.m. at the same location and will last until the completion of the agenda.
The purpose of the meeting is to hear local bills and local budget requests in advance of the 2018 Legislative Session. Local government entities, businesses, organizations, and citizens are also encouraged to use this opportunity to share with the delegation issues that they would like to see addressed in our state government.
The agenda for the Collier County Legislative Delegation meeting will be released to the news media on October 5, to allow the citizens of Collier County ample time to prepare comments if they so desire. Anyone who wishes to be placed on the agenda, as a presenter of a local bill, local budget request or to speak to another issue, should contact Senator Passidomo’s office at (239) 417-6205 or email kokkinos.rebecca@flsenate.gov by Monday, September 28.
Senator Passidomo was elected to the Senate in 2016 to represent Senate District 28, which consists of Collier, Lee, and Hendry counties. Prior to the Senate, Passidomo served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010-2016.
