Soccer Pit Cobras Program

For their first time in our ten-year history we started a small but comprehensive recreational soccer program for players 7-10 years of age. The program included two teams of Under 8 boys, and one team each of under 11 boys and girls. The U8 boys played in the San Carlos Scorpions In-House program and the other teams played in The Southwest Florida Soccer Association league which traveled between Immokalee, San Carlos, Ft Myers and North Ft Myers. The kids had a great time competing as this was their first time playing in an organized setting. The teams were coached by four former Cobras and Immokalee High players, Marco Velazco, Alejandro Mendoza, Liliana Cruz-Trejo, Julio Robles and our long time Soccer Pit Cobras coach Manuel Preciado. Without them this would not have been possible. I also want to give a very special recognition to all the very dedicated parents that traveled with their children every weekend and encouraged them to enjoy the game. We saw tremendous growth as each week went by and we are ready for the next step. We are planning to start a 3 v 3 league here in town during the spring ( March and April ) so stay tuned for more information on sign ups.
