Agri-Civic Center June events schedule

OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee County Agri Civic Center, 4601 State Road 710, will hold the following events during the month of June:

Saturday June 1 & Sunday, June 2: Tour of Champions — Barrel racers from all over Florida will compete in one of the largest barrel races held in the state. There is no charge for the public to attend, and a concession stand will be open Exhibitions at 9 a.m. futurity at 11 a.m., Open to follow.

Thursday, June 6 - Sunday, June 9: Florida High School Rodeo State Finals — High school competitors from all over Florida compete in rodeo events in hopes of qualifying for the National High School Rodeo Finals in Gillette, Wyoming. Come out and support the cowboys and cowgirls of Okeechobee and watch the action. There is no charge for the public to attend, and a concession stand will be open. Rodeo start times vary.

Friday, June 14 - Sunday, June 16: Cowtown Classic Reining and Cutting Horse Show — There will be a full slate of AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse and National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) classes. Also a special event for local cowboys and day workers called the Day Working Derby. Please visit CowtownClassic.com for more information.

Saturday, June 22: Treasure Coast Food Bank will be at the State Road 710 entrance only from 8 to 10 a.m. or until product runs out.

Saturday, June 22: Fundraiser Barrel Race — Fundraiser Barrel Race hosted by Wild Horse Production. Exhibitions at 11 a.m., Futurity at 1 p.m., Open to follow futurity.

Monday, June 24 - Wednesday, June 26: UF/IFAS 4-H Horse Camp — Horse Camp participants are provided riding and lesson time in the saddle where they will experience horse activities geared toward developing riders. Campers bring their own horse and supplies, and must be 8 by Sept. 1, 2023

Sunday, June 30: Mexican Rodeo - Kaza Productions — Mexican music and food. Music begins at 1 p.m. and will end at 8 p.m.
